`The apple of my eye, you get my feelings high`
It`s a stirring and worthwhile debut with some powerful moments (and a powerful vocalist). Unfortunately, many of the lyrics are bombastic and silly, and the clumsy grammar and phrasing make it obvious that English is not the band`s first language.
If you`re not already a fan of 80s metal, Track of Doom probably won`t be the release to convert you, but there`s definitely a good album in here trying to get out.

Through Silver in Blood review
Posted : 12 years, 7 months ago on 2 April 2012 04:30 (A review of Through Silver in Blood)Apocalyptic metal at it`s most cerebral and dynamic, this was the album of the band and the year. The esoteric samples, employment of pianos, tribal drumming and keyboards as well as the elephantine song lengths may seem daunting, contrived or overly indulgent to the uninititiated, but it`s testament to the Oakland sextet`s talent the album is so fresh and organic sounding; brooding without being boring.
Definitely the most intense metal release with the words `in Blood` in the title since you-know-what was conceived a decade earlier.

Reign in Blood review

A true lesson in violent music + the best album in the metal canon....still.

Dreaming with the Dead review
Posted : 12 years, 7 months ago on 2 April 2012 04:17 (A review of Dreaming with the Dead)Hellraiser, From Beyond and a cornucopia of outrageous and sinister riffing all play a part in this morbid classic of thrashy death metal courtesy of Erik Rutan & co.
